Alison is an Associate Professor, writer, researcher, and podcaster. She currently works at Nottingham Trent University. She has edited Learning to Teach Design and Technology, Debates in Design and Technology Education and Redesigning D&T.
Alison started her D&T teaching career in Gloucestershire and has been a head of D&T in Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. She also worked in further education where she was responsible for curriculum development and as an overseas lecturer at the University of West Bohemia in the Czech Republic.
She provides one-to-one or small group support for departments looking to develop their design and technology curriculum.
