Brendan is an experienced Design and Technology teacher, department leader, and curriculum specialist with over 14 years in secondary education. He holds a PGCE/QTS from the University of the West of England and an M.Ed. from the University of Bristol, and is a qualified Registered Design and Technology Health & Safety Consultant (RDTHSC).
Brendan leads a D&T department delivering Design and Technology and Computer Science across KS3–5, with a particular specialism in Product Design. He has extensive experience developing design thinking curriculum approaches, building high-quality assessment frameworks, and leading teams of teachers and technicians. He has produced curriculum and assessment materials for KS3, KS4 and KS5 Design and Technology and Engineering Qualifications including examination analysis resources and NEA support materials.
Brendan offers consultancy support for schools looking to strengthen their D&T provision, improve curriculum coherence, develop assessment practice, or prepare for inspection. He brings a practical, department-leader perspective grounded in day-to-day classroom reality.
