John Trant

John is an experienced teacher and leader with over 25 years in Design & Technology, Art and STEM, working in both UK and overseas schools. He currently leads Innovation, Design and Engineering at a large independent school in Hertfordshire.

He moderates GCSE for Eduqas and has previously moderated A-level for AQA and has also worked with the Independent Schools Inspectorate and OFQUAL on Design & Technology standards.

John holds MA and MEd degrees, in both design and school improvement, is a published author, and was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2017.

Passionate about teacher training, he supports both specialists and non-specialists to teach practical subjects with confidence. Through Creative Curriculum Consulting, he offers training in health and safety, CAD/CAM, computer control, and middle leadership support.
