I graduated from Marjons, Exeter University, with a BEd Hons degree and have been a Design and Technology teacher for over 40 years. I have worked in both independent and maintained schools, I have been a Head of Department and taught a variety of subject syllabuses covering Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design and Engineering. I believe very strongly the subject of Design and Technology and its importance to the development of our young people. I also understand the challenges faced in delivering practical subjects and the need for training and support for all those involved on a daily basis.
