This full-day course is designed for teachers who are new to Post-16 D&T or looking to enhance their A-Level provision.   • Investigate options for effective delivery of the theory content.
  • How to integrate students with limited prior experience of D&T.

Attendees will explore the world’s largest collection of classic, vintage, and veteran British cars ranging from Royal and racing cars to prototypes and movie icons.
The tour brings automotive history to life: discover the evolution of the motor car, uncover stories of the people and places behind Britain’s motor industry, and get hands-on with design, engineering, and even the driver’s seat of select vehicles.

Meet your Trainer

Lol Conway – Curriculum Consultant 

Lol was a Design and Technology teacher for 14 years teaching students from years 7 to 13 in comprehensive secondary schools. She has been a Head of Department for 7 of those years and was a College/Pastoral Leader for 2. During her time as Head of Department she took a department that was struggling to a thriving and outstanding faculty within the school.

Lol has also worked as a Primary Teacher setting up and delivering EYFS, KS1 and KS2 Design and Technology in her school and developing a Curriculum Pathway for the subject so as to create an effective through Curriculum into KS3 and beyond.
