D&T Summer School @ Loughborough Design School, After a crazy few months of planning, our exciting new D&T Summer School ran on the 11th & 12th July 2014 at Loughborough University Design School. Over 160 teachers attended from across the country, and from as far afield as Hong Kong. Developed in collaboration with the Furniture Makers' Company and KI, this new educational context introduces students to practical aspects of furniture design, sustainability, and efficient manufacturing through the concept of “minimizing parts.”
