Details

Course members will undertake a variety of practical exercises over the day to prepare them for the range of woodworking machining processes required to accurately and safely prepare materials within school workshops. Machines covered will include the circular table saw and the narrow band saw. Course members will receive a course pack covering current legislation and the knowledge, skills and understanding required to safely use this range of woodworking machinery in schools.

The course is suitable for teachers, technicians and other staff who are required to use this equipment. All the activities conform to the current D&T Association Training Standards.

Please bring your own PPE, i.e. safety goggles, ear protection, protective apron and appropriate footwear.

Refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring your own lunch.

Cost of accreditation is included within the price.
