This course will enable delegates to acquire H&S accreditation through a ‘hands on’ approach with completion of both theoretical and small practical tasks. The course will cover areas such as safe management of the textiles classroom, carrying out risk assessment and COSHH assessments. It will also involve practical experience in the use of sewing machines, overlocker, and various heat processes.
The course is suitable for teachers, technicians and other supporting staff who are required to use this equipment in a textiles classroom. All the activities conform to the current D&T Association Training Standards.
Light refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring your own lunch.
