This course will enable delegates to acquire H&S accreditation certification through a ‘hands on’ approach using a range of tools and equipment to complete a series of tasks leading to the completion of a finished product made of hardwood. Delegates will undertake a number of exercises, including turning between centres, faceplate turning and woodturning chuck use, drilling, finishing and parting off.
The course is suitable for teachers, technicians and other staff who are required to use this equipment. All the activities conform to the current D&T Association Training Standards.
NB -No experience is necessary in using the machines.

Refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring your own lunch.
Please bring your own PPE, i.e. face shield/visor, FFP3 rated dust mask, apron and appropriate footwear.
