Global celebration of design, engineering and innovation at the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2025

Teachers and students from across the globe came together in Singapore for the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2025, an inspiring week-long celebration of creativity, design and engineering. From the 26th September to the 3rd October, the event brought together some of the brightest young minds in science, technology and design, all united by their passion for innovation and teamwork.

More than 80 teams from around the world showcased their skills in design, engineering and problem-solving, supported by 90 expert judges and a community of over 600 participants. This year’s competition was the largest yet and marked the first World Finals under the new STEM Racing name, with the debut of four-lane racing, which proved a huge hit.

Team Lunar take top honours

The World Champions 2025 title went to Team Lunar from Australia, made up of Max, Leo, Max, Oliver and Liam. Their outstanding design and engineering impressed the judges throughout the week. The team also won awards for Best Engineered Car and Fastest Car, with Liam and Max earning places at the Komatsu-Williams Racing Academy.

One of the most memorable moments for students was the Pit Lane Walk at the world-famous Marina Bay Circuit. All 434 students visited the circuit before the top three teams, Lunar (Australia), Blue Wolves (Germany) and SBA Unity Racing (UK), took to the podium to celebrate their achievements.

Events like the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2025 show the power of hands-on, project-based learning to inspire students and bring design and technology to life in the classroom. For teachers, these competitions offer a compelling example of how design, collaboration and innovation can be applied in real-world contexts, making lessons engaging, exciting and meaningful.
