D&T Practice Moves to Digital Format from Next Issue
Published 2nd April 2026
At the Design & Technology Association, we are committed to supporting our members in ways that are accessible, flexible and sustainable. Following extensive consultation with our membership throughout 2025, we will be moving D&T Practice to a digital only format from the next issue.
This transition enables us to respond more quickly to emerging priorities, share content more widely, and ensure that valuable professional learning is available when teachers need it most.
Moving to a digital format also plays an important role in supporting our environmental commitments. By reducing the need for printing and distribution, we are lowering carbon impact, while maintaining the integrity of the publication.
Importantly, this change does not alter what D&T Practice stands for. It remains a magazine shaped by teachers, for teachers, grounded in classroom practice and focused on improving outcomes for young people. While the format is evolving, our purpose remains unchanged.
We will be sharing Practice Issue 1 (2026) as a digital flipbook preview in D&T Matters, giving members an early opportunity to explore the new format. The digital magazine will be circulated by dedicated email from the next issue onwards.
We would like to thank all contributors who have shared their work in this issue, and all of our members who continue to engage with, challenge and strengthen our work.
Designing will remain in print, recognising its large scale format lending itself to use as display material.
