LSBU’s “Product of South Bank” Graduate Showcase
Published 6th June 2025
This week, London South Bank University (LSBU) proudly welcomed guests to The Product of South Bank, its much-anticipated annual graduate showcase celebrating the work of final-year students from Product Design and Engineering Product Design, alongside select projects from across the School of Engineering.
The exhibition launched with a private view on Wednesday evening (4 June), where visitors had the first look at a range of innovative student work. Highlights included basketball trainers with replaceable soles, watches made from recycled coffee grounds, and a diverse mix of projects tackling sustainability, user experience, and inclusive design.
The evening continued with a street party-style celebration on Kell Street, outside the Student Union Centre, where guests, students, and staff enjoyed music, food, and drinks in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
Following the launch, the show opened to the wider public on Thursday and Friday, drawing in prospective students, and curious visitors eager to see what LSBU’s emerging designers had created.
As part of the event, LSBU also hosted Year 12 pupils for design taster sessions, a brilliant opportunity for school students to experience university-level design. Students took part in hands-on rapid prototyping workshops, explored the Degree Show, and attended sessions on inclusive design, all while getting a feel for life at LSBU.
