Strengthening the Visibility and Credibility of D&T Research
Published 4th December 2025
We are delighted to announce that Design and Technology Education: An International Journal (DTEIJ) has been accepted for indexing in Scopus, a major milestone that significantly enhances the visibility, credibility and reach of research in D&T education.
For teachers and practitioners in D&T, this is especially important. Scopus indexing means that the work emerging from our field - classroom innovation, pedagogical insights, curriculum development, and research into design thinking and technology education, - will gain greater international recognition and contribute more powerfully to evidence-informed practice.
This achievement reflects the journal’s commitment to publishing academically rigorous, internationally relevant research that supports and advances the D&T community. We extend our sincere thanks to our authors, reviewers, editorial board, and editorial team for their dedication and expertise in reaching this point.
We welcome the positive feedback from the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) and look forward to strengthening our peer review and editorial processes as we continue to raise the quality and impact of scholarship in our field.
We’re excited to see DTEIJ listed in Scopus soon and the increased impact this will bring to teachers, researchers, and the wider Design and Technology community.
