£20,000 Grants Available for School Recycling Workspaces
Published 1st May 2025
If you've ever dreamed of creating a space where your students can get hands-on with sustainability and circular design, this could be just the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
Grants open to schools, community spaces and creative projects
Sustainable Design Studio has partnered with ChangeX to offer £20,000 fixed grants to help people across the UK set up their own plastic recycling workspace. That includes teachers – whether you're hoping to bring a new dimension to your classroom, set up a creative after-school club or run a community-based design space linked to your school.
A proven programme that’s already making an impact
Last year, the programme supported six fully funded workspaces, from classrooms and community hubs to small studios – and this year they’re looking to fund even more.
Support at every step – from idea to launch
The application process is simple, and support is available at every stage – from planning and budgeting to developing your ideas. Every successful project also comes with a set amount of free consultancy and training to help you get up and running confidently.
Don’t miss the deadline – apply by 8 May
It’s a great chance to bring real-world design, sustainability and problem-solving into your setting, with funding to make it happen.
The deadline to apply is the 8th May, so there’s still time to get your ideas together.
