Remuneration: Voluntary (reasonable expenses reimbursed)
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 to 2 days per month

The Design & Technology Association, the leading UK charity dedicated to supporting and promoting the teaching of design and technology (D&T) in schools, is seeking a visionary and strategic Chair of the Board of Trustees.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic and influential organisation at a pivotal time for education and industry. As Chair, you will guide the Chief Executive, Tony Ryan, and the Board in setting the strategic direction, ensuring strong governance, and championing the value of D&T in preparing children and young people for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
We are looking for someone who:
- Brings strategic leadership experience, ideally at board level, within education, industry, or the charitable sector.
- Is a strong communicator and collaborator, able to inspire and unite stakeholders around a shared vision.
- Has a deep commitment to educational equity and innovation and understands the transformative power of Design and Technology.
- Can act as an ambassador for the Association, building relationships with government, industry, educators, and funders.
