Exciting Opportunity for Teachers: Gain Real-World Experience in Railway Engineering

A unique professional development program is now available for secondary teachers seeking to enhance their teaching with real-world industry experience. The ‘Teachers in Residence’ program offers teachers the chance to gain practical knowledge from various sectors and bring it directly into their classrooms.

Exciting placements are now available in Bristol, Reading, Plymouth, and Penzance through a partnership with a leading railway engineering company. This program connects teachers with the Great Western Railway, providing valuable industry insights that can benefit their schools.

The program includes a 3-day placement week commencing 29th July or 5th August. Participants will gain firsthand experience in the railway engineering field, enriching their teaching methods and helping bridge the gap between classroom education and real-world applications.
