2026 UK Creative Festival

Published 31st July 2026

We were proud to exhibit at this year's UK Creative Festival, joining hundreds of creative professionals, educators, employers and young people in Margate for two days celebrating innovation, creativity and the future of the UK's creative industries.

Held on 1–2 July, the festival brought together more than 800 young creatives, industry leaders, agencies and educators under this year's theme, "Don't get comfortable... the future belongs to the creatively fearless!" Through an extensive programme of keynote talks, workshops, panel discussions and networking events, delegates explored the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of creativity in the UK.

At the heart of the festival was the Creative Careers Fair, the UK's largest free-to-attend creative careers event. Designed for young people aged 14–25, the fair welcomed more than 800 aspiring creatives and over 35 leading organisations, providing direct access to employers, practical workshops and career advice while helping to strengthen links between education and industry.

A particular highlight was TheArtSchool, led by renowned creative director Graham Fink, with special guests Rory Sutherland and Vicki Maguire. Rather than focusing on traditional teaching, the sessions encouraged young creatives to think differently, develop confidence in their ideas and gain practical insight into working within the creative industries.

The festival also explored how the UK's creative sector can continue to grow by bringing together employers, educators, policymakers and industry organisations to discuss future creative skills and career pathways. These conversations reinforce the important role Design & Technology plays in preparing young people with the knowledge, creativity and adaptability needed for a rapidly changing world.

Exhibiting at the UK Creative Festival gave us the opportunity to speak with a wide range of visitors about the value of Design & Technology education. It was encouraging to see such enthusiasm for creativity and to demonstrate how D&T helps young people develop the skills needed for careers across the creative industries.

The event concluded with the 81st Creative Circle Awards, celebrating outstanding creative work from across the UK, alongside the Best of British Creativity exhibition, which showcased some of the year's most innovative campaigns and projects.

Reflecting on the festival, founder Dina Green highlighted the continued importance of supporting the next generation of creatives, noting that while the UK's creative industries are growing rapidly, ensuring every talented young person can see a place for themselves within the sector remains a key priority.

The festival reinforced the importance of equipping young people with not only technical knowledge, but also the creative confidence, resilience and adaptability that employers increasingly value.
