Secondary Core Level Health & Safety (SCHS) - Initial Training

This course will familiarise you with the D&T Association CORE Level Training Standards covering risk assessment and enable you to complete an individual D&T H&S portfolio for accreditation through completion of 10 areas. The course is suitable for both teachers and technicians, working in all material areas of the subject. The course will extend and update your knowledge and understanding of health and safety and will have a range of activities covering: • Core standards • Environmental issues • Risk Assessment • Legal issues surrounding delivery of Design & Technology • LEV, COSHH, PAT, Maintenance etc. Please note: there is no machine training on this course. Once you have booked the course you will be sent pre-course information to enable you to assemble your portfolio during the course. Refreshments will be made available throughout the day.
