For over 30 years, the Design & Technology Association has been at the heart of design and technology education. As a UK based educational charity, we are a trusted voice for the subject, supporting teachers like you with practical resources, high-quality training and clear guidance to help design and technology thrive in every classroom.
About the subject
Design and technology teaches pupils to think, solve problems and create with purpose. In primary, it’s all about building curiosity and key skills through practical, cross-curricular learning. In secondary, it grows into a rich, knowledge-led subject where pupils develop technical understanding and design thinking.
