Research in D&T Education
Supporting D&T Education Research
We are committed to advancing knowledge in design and technology education. A dedicated proportion of our financial reserves supports academic and practitioner research in the field. Our research initiatives connect international scholars, teachers, and practitioners through events, publications, and curated archives.
Access Published Research and Resources
All conference papers and journal articles are made available through our partnership with Liverpool John Moores University. This resource includes research dating back to the 1960s and features the full archive of our peer-reviewed journal:
Design and Technology Education: An International Journal
- Published three times annually since 1997, the journal offers leading research, case studies, and insights for D&T teachers. It covers a wide range of topics, from curriculum development and teaching strategies to technological advancements in design education.
