Monday 9 November 2026 | MTC, Coventry | Free to attend | In person or virtually

Design and technology teachers looking to strengthen their understanding of modern manufacturing and bring current industry insight into the classroom can attend the Manufacturing Educators Summit on Monday 9th November 2026 at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry.

The free, CPD-accredited event brings together teachers, curriculum leaders, careers professionals, STEM ambassadors, manufacturers and industry specialists to explore the technologies, skills and career opportunities shaping the future of manufacturing.

Bringing manufacturing into the classroom

The one-day summit is designed to connect education and industry through expert speakers, real-world case studies and interactive discussions. For design and technology teachers, this provides an opportunity to see how emerging technologies are being used in manufacturing and consider how these developments can inform curriculum content and classroom activities.

Sessions will explore innovations across areas including automation, digital transformation, data, connectivity and artificial intelligence, alongside the changing skills and roles within the manufacturing sector. Teachers can gain practical insight into how industry is evolving and take away ideas that can be applied to teaching and learning.

The event also provides opportunities to connect with industry specialists and other professionals, supporting conversations around curriculum development, STEM engagement and future careers.

Free CPD and flexible attendance

Teachers attending in person can benefit from CPD accreditation, free e-learning courses, post-event resources, networking opportunities, lunch and refreshments, and free on-site parking. A virtual attendance option is also available, providing access to the CPD-accredited sessions and post-event content.

Taking place at the MTC, a leading UK centre for manufacturing innovation, the summit offers a valuable opportunity for teachers to connect classroom learning with the technologies and careers shaping the future.
