Celebrate World Book Day with our Primary book giveaway

This World Book Day, you are invited to take part in our competition created for primary design and technology teachers. From the 5th March to 12th March 2026, you have the chance to win a set of inspiring books to enrich your classroom and spark creativity in your pupils.

One lucky primary teacher will receive a collection of titles that champion invention, resilience and innovative thinking across design and technology.

What you could win

The Inventor’s Workshop by Ruth Amos (signed by the author)

A brilliant story about a child turning an idea into a finished product. As she sketches, makes, tests and adapts her design, your pupils see that failure and perseverance are a natural and valuable part of the design process.

Oliver’s Vegetables by Vivian French
Follow a young boy as he learns to enjoy a colourful variety of fresh vegetables while helping his grandfather in the garden. A wonderful way to support food and nutrition learning in design and technology, while showing that trying new foods can be fun and rewarding.

It couldn’t be easier to get involved. Between the 5th March and 12th March 2026:

  • Like the giveaway post
  • Optional: tag a colleague to spread the word and inspire others

Important dates

  • Entries close at midnight on the 12th March 2026
  • One winner will be randomly drawn and announced on the 13th March 2026

The winning Primary teacher will receive their books directly from the Design & Technology Association.
