A KS2 planner helping teachers embed key D&T practitioners into projects. Explore how people from the present day, and further into history have shaped our world.

The Key Practitioners PoaP focuses on a selection of recommended key individuals from across the design and technology specialisms.

This is focused for KS2 but can be delivered at any time across those year groups. The planner gives you ideas for how you can incorporate key individuals into your planning and units of work as well as giving you an overview of each of the recommended individuals so as to help you select the most relevant practitioner for your planning and also to introduce them to your pupils. Accompanying the PoaP resource is a recommended project that shows how Key Practitioners can be linked into a structures based project. Pupils look to design a piece of playground equipment for their school with the inspiration of Frank Lloyd Wright’s work and nature as a starting point.
