Safe Use of Wood Sawing Machines (S1HS) - Initial Training Course (JP) 12/10/26

Delegates will undertake a variety of practical exercises during the day, using the circular table saw and narrow bandsaw, to cover a range of wood-sawing processes that are commonly required to accurately and safely prepare materials within school workshops.

Delegates will also receive a course pack containing current legislation and digital resources, and the knowledge, skills and understanding required to safely use this machinery in schools.

This course is suitable for teachers, technicians and other staff who are required to use this equipment, and all the activities conform to the current D&T Association Training Standards.

Please bring your own PPE, i.e. safety goggles, ear protection, an apron and appropriate footwear.

Refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring your own lunch.

The cost of this course is £220.00 (which includes the H&S accreditation fee).
