This 'Teaching electronics in KS3 D&T' course has been created to help all D&T teachers improve their confidence and understanding of electronics within design and technology at secondary schools.
The purpose of this course is to develop:
- A basic understanding of electronic concepts
- Basic knowledge of key components
- Design methods suitable for KS3 & 4
- How to develop an electronic solution to a problem
- Ways forward for curriculum and skill development
The course can be worked through at your own pace. It has a number of downloadable documents and links to resources to help you approach D&T delivery in potentially new ways that will hopefully embed deeper understanding with your students. Items in coral are tasks that should be completed along the way.
