What is Oak National Academy?
Oak National Academy is the world’s first publicly funded digital curriculum provision, created to give every teacher free, high-quality curriculum-aligned lessons and to help improve outcomes for all pupils. Providing ready-made quizzes, presentations and worksheets to use in the class as an example of delivery.
Supporting D&T and Cooking & Nutrition Teaching
We were excited to partner with Oak National Academy to offer a range of free resources designed to support D&T and Cooking & Nutrition teaching. Created in collaboration with the British Nutrition Foundation, these resources span over 500 lessons for D&T (Years 1–11) and Cooking & Nutrition (Years 1–9).
Teacher-Centered Support
While D&T and cooking practical elements can be tricky to deliver online, these materials provide a solid foundation that teachers can build on in the classroom. The goal is to help teachers create engaging and flexible lessons that fit their students' needs.
Oak’s new resources won’t be a finished lesson, as only teachers can plan how to use and design and deliver their lessons in the context of their school and pupils using methods that work best for them.
