Self-Review Framework and D&T Quality Mark
The Self-Review Framework (SRF)
The Self-Review Framework is a free member benefit that is designed to help you determine the quality and effectiveness of your D&T provision at your school. Schools can compare and assess their current practice against a set of standards judged to be present in high-performing, inspirational schools and departments. With supporting documents and links to resources to help further develop practice and provisions, it is an indispensable tool for aspirational schools and departments.
What is the D&T Quality Mark?
The D&T Quality Mark is awarded to schools who are providing excellent teaching and learning in design and technology. Using the same criteria as the Self-Review Framework, it is awarded to schools who can demonstrate they fully meet all the descriptors in the Self-Review Framework. Schools who have been awarded the D&T Mark have undertaken a rigorous evaluation process, and have clearly demonstrated the quality of their work.
Is my School Eligible?
Schools can apply for the Quality Mark if they are able to provide clear evidence of achieving or exceeding all the elements of the Self-Review Framework. Successful schools receive a digital media pack, enabling use of the D&T Quality Mark logo across emails, websites and wider communications. A certificate is also provided for display within the school, and each school is listed on our website in recognition of its achievement and commitment.
