Paul is one of the most experienced Senior Registered D&T Health & Safety Consultants (Senior RDTHSCs). His has extensive workshop experience both from teaching and industry, which he uses to provide engaging and effective training. A notable proportion of the schools where he delivers training engage him for return bookings for new staff or refresher training.
He has significant experience of helping teachers, departments and schools improve their pupils’ attainment. When he was Head of Technology in one of the most challenging schools in the country, his students achieved outstanding value added. In addition to his extensive classroom and workshop experience from being a teacher, Head of Department and Assistant Head, Paul has over 20 years of experience as a Senior Examiner - he has worked for three exam boards in a range of roles, including Chief Examiner, Principal Moderator and Chair of Examiners for a range of D&T and Engineering qualifications. He has also been involved in developing several of the current D&T and Engineering qualifications.
Paul was awarded a Gatsby fellowship for his work implementing Assessment for Learning in D&T. He is one of the team of former examiners who founded Attainment in Education, www.attainmentineducation.org.uk, to provide high quality STEM resources to teachers and schools and has written or co-authored 23 textbooks, along with over 100 published teaching resources.
