Clare Lightowler is a Registered Design and Technology Health & Safety Consultant (RDTHSC), accredited to deliver Design & Technology Association health and safety training. She holds a Master's degree in Teaching and Learning and the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL).
A practising Design & Technology teacher and middle leader since 2010, Clare has extensive experience across Product Design, Engineering, Textiles and Food. Alongside her consultancy work, she teaches at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, ensuring her advice and training remain firmly grounded in current classroom practice.
Prior to teaching, Clare spent ten years working as an Interior Architect on high-value commercial projects, developing expertise in project delivery, collaboration and working within legislative and regulatory frameworks.
Clare delivers engaging, practical health and safety training tailored to the needs of individual schools, helping departments create safe, effective learning environments while meeting the requirements of BS 4163:2021+A1:2022.
