GCSE Textiles Rescue - Single Point Darts

This practical video introduces single point darts and explains how they are used to shape fabric and create a better fit in textile products and garments.

The demonstration guides students through reading the dart markings on a pattern, transferring them accurately onto fabric, folding and pinning the material, then machining from the wider edge towards the dart point.

The five minute video can be used to introduce the technique, support a classroom demonstration or help GCSE students improve the accuracy and quality of their garment construction skills.
