Alarming vehicles YR 4/5/6
Years 4–6 project where children design alarmed vehicles, learning circuits, switches and control, with slides, teacher notes and worksheets; extends with Crumble.
Ages 9 to 11
This resource helps pupils develop their understanding of electrical systems, switches and circuits by designing and making a vehicle with a working alarm.
Pupils explore different inputs and outputs, build electrical circuits and apply their knowledge to an authentic design challenge. The project can also incorporate programmable control using a microcontroller such as Crumble.
The resource includes a teacher guide, PowerPoint presentation, pupil worksheets and printable vehicle body nets.
