Design thinking – scenario generator

The design thinking scenario generator generates random words in three categories: User, Location and Theme to help students to develop design ideas for a product or system that addresses the needs of the user in the scenario (context).

Clicking on the button in the Excel file (or pressing F9) will allow each of the categories to fill with a prompt, such as a bored child in a supermarket, or a visually impaired person navigating a park, etc.

Students can click to refresh the panels with fresh scenarios until they are inspired to begin designing solutions. The list in each category is easily added to or edited to meet the circumstances of your school and students.

Suitable for primary or secondary pupils designing in contexts.
