This online resource, tailored for Lower Key Stage 2 (KS2) students, aims to ignite curiosity and illuminate understanding of electrical systems. Developed in collaboration with Eon, our industry-linked curriculum takes students on a journey through the world of street lighting with the user and purpose of their designs at the forefront of their minds. It includes a PowerPoint presentation with detailed notes for teachers to guide through seven engaging lessons. From investigating different types of circuits to designing and evaluating street light placement, pupils will develop a solid understanding of simple electrical circuits, insulators, and conductors. With a focus on hands-on exploration and interactive learning, this resource offers a fun introduction to electrical systems, covering essential concepts such as design, making, and evaluation.
