Context Overview
Scalextric have been an industry leader in slot car racing since the 1950s, combining engineering, play and competitive racing through innovative track systems and controllers. In this context, students are asked to consider ‘accessible controllers’.

This resource supports the full design, make and evaluate process, while also suggesting appropriate investigate and evaluate activities and relevant focused tasks to build knowledge and skills. It develops technical understanding including CAD, CAM, modelling, ergonomics, rapid prototyping, manufacturing processes, maths and science, and visual and technical communication.
